The Sacral Chakra is known as the “sex chakra.” However, many believe the Root Chakra to be the sex chakra because it is located at the base of the core where the surface sexual organs are housed, but that is not the case. The Sacral Chakra is located at the ‘womb,’ or ‘Hara’ for men. It is the space that life is cultivated, creativity is seeded, and spirit is developed. It is the center of authority where we hold our power. It is the seat of our emotions; which is energy in motion, and is responsible for our comfortability of self.
Deep breaths are meant to take place in this area, filling the belly in the center of our being. Breathing life force and vitality in to all chakras, limbs, the brain, senses and overflowing to the aura of our spiritual selves.
Society has distorted this concept, and conditioned us to develop a misperception of this space; projecting that fuller bellies are unnatractive- so we suck in and hold in our breath to avoid allowing the belly to expand. This belief and misprojection has been created to keep us from cultivating and harnessing our power. To keep us from embodying our life force fully, and stimulating the Ankh cycle of circulation, which initiates immortality and the circadian rhythm of biodynamic breath.
Yes it is true the appeal of a flat belly does also stem from instinctual imprints- being sexually drawn to healthier, stronger physical selves due to natural selection; so it is not to be confused with a beer belly or a GMO influenced frame. Self Love is sexy. Awareness of actions done unto the vessel is sexy.
Tuning into this powerful force that is readily available to all in every moment; is blissful beyond description. Many beings report having full body orgasms without touch, simply by cultivating the prana of the breath and transferring it through the being in conscious consistent motions- which I admit I have experienced personally as well.
So fam, don’t suck in the belly, breathe life force through your entire core, expanding as you inhale and subtly contracting with the exhale. Let’s redefine what we perceive as sexy.
